Tenterfield is a town of 3,200 people situated 758km north of Sydney. The town has many historic buildings and good sporting facilities. The town was made famous by Sir Henry Parkes who made a speech which set in motion the movement for the creation of the Federation of Australia. Peter Allen's song, Tenterfield Saddler, has also put the town on the map. Two friends of mine, David Power and Bev Stalling went to school in Tenterfield
