We travelled from Pine Creek to Cooinda and stayed there for three nights in June 2014. It is a good base to use for the Yellow Waters cruises, visiting the aboriginal cave art sites at Noulangie Rock, visiting the Aboriginal Cultural Centre at Cooinda and not far from the township of Jabiru and the Visitors Information Centre close by. The camp/caravan ground is immediately adjacent to the Gauadju Lodge and is easily accessed via a bitumen road. The generous sized powered sites are generally all level and well kept grass sites. The laundry and toilet blocks are well designed and well maintained and are centrally located in the camp area. The staff at the Lodge, booking in area and ground staff were all very helpful. The Lodge has an extensive open air undercover bistro area and all reports about the menu and meals were very good when we were there. The property has extensive well kept lawned areas, a playground, one very large swimming pool and another smaller pool covered by a shade sail. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this camp/caravan ground.
