Finchley Camping Area - Yengo National Park NSW

Overnight camping attracts a fee within the park and is based on an honour system.
Pit toilet and three fire places.
Overnight camping attracts a $5.00 per head camping fee. Contact NPWS Gosford (02) 4320 4200. Camping at Finchley is best undertaken off the ground as there are many established ant colonies on the camp grounds themselves. Finchley Camp Grounds offer exceptional views of Mt Yengo and surrounding area. The grounds are set within native bushland and as such, is quite rough underfoot lacking a grassy area in which to camp. There is an abundance of local wildlife that comes out at night that makes the overnight stay well worth the journey.

This camp site is not camper trailer friendly. Parking lot is bollarded but when I was there (Sep 08) a section of the fence had been moved to allow car access. There are a lot of trees overhead in the camp area and the area can be very windy. There is a pit toilet. I saw no mention of a camp fee on the notice board but it was late when I arrived.
