Twin Dolphins Holiday Park - Tuncurry NSW
It is very difficult to see what Twin Dolphins Holiday Park is like from the road. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually walked down to the back of the park to find a lovely bushland setting with powered sites for caravans. The park is located in south street and, although not large, has good facilities including a nice pool. The park has a number of weekenders and permanents but there is plenty of open space, particularly at the back of the park. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos. Photos on this page were taken on the 6th July 2011.

We decided to take a short family break for the October long weekend, and after a recommendation from a friend booked into the Twin Dolphins Holiday Park. We started out to have a tent site and camper trailer site together to enjoy some outdoor living, but at the last moment a broken lifting cable in the camper prompted the need for an on site cabin and Tent Site. This combination catered for 4 adults and 6 children from one to ten with ease.
The camp site down the back of the park is very nicely set out with good grass and beautiful high trees for a well protected location. The highlight of Sunday night was cooking our stew/hotpot dinner on a heavy cast iron pot on the beer barrel BBQ, and taking in the extended daylight hour.
The cabin served us well in catering for Saturday meals, and opportunity to watch the Rugby Union game on Sunday morning and the Cowboys/Bronco's Grand final on Sunday night on the Foxtel TV. We used the camp ground BBQ on Saturday night for traditional bangers, and the chance to interact with some other campers.
The kids had a ball swimming, playing on the jumping pillow, riding their bikes and finally having a go on the pedal Go Carts. We had no problem getting them to sleep at night, as they were exhausted from camping ground activities.
Local attractions are many, and although we got to Old Bar Festivities, we still have much to see and do in the area, including visits to local beaches, some fishing and boating.
We had a great labour day weekend, and found all the facilities more than adequate for our needs.
Thanks guys.
