Mulwala is a town of 2,217 people situated 653km south west of Sydney and 304km north of Melbourne. It is a twin town to Yarrawonga and situated on the shores of Lake Mulwala, a man-made lake created for water storage. The town has a first class golf course (Yarrawonga & Border Golf Club) and excellent clubs. It does pay to get up early and see the sun rise over Lake Mulwala. The best spot to see the sunrise is the small park beside the bridge to Yarrawonga. Most of the caravan parks in Mulwala cater exclusively for permanents and weekenders. The two parks list here do have facilities for tourists.
