Mooloolaba Beach Caravan Park - Mooloolaba QLD 2010 QLD

The Mooloolaba Beach Caravan Park is located in Parklyn Parade Mooloolaba. Mike and Minnette write:

The Mooloolaba Beach Caravan Park (Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba QLD, freecall 1899 441 201), is ideally situated on the beachfront and opposite the very popular tourist attraction, Underwater World. Just a very short walk away are cafes, restaurants and retail shops which line the Mooloolaba foreshore. For walkers, the shared walk/bike path stretches for kilometers along the beach.

This is a Council run park (Family Parks member), very well maintained with a resident manager. The off peak rate was $29 p/n including the FP membership discount. There are approx. 95 powered caravan sites, the majority with concrete slabs. The sites are easy to access. There are no permanents and no cabins.

The park is well shaded and quite peaceful apart from the annoying crow calls early in the morning! The facilities are kept very clean although I would hazard a guess that they would not cope during the peak period. There is a basic, functional camp kitchen and one separate gas BBQ. There is no pool given that the beach is only 50m away accessed via a walkway from the park. For fishing enthusiasts, there are 2 public boat ramps 500m down the road.

This is a park we would definitely visit again but during the warmer months of the year." Click here to see photos taken in March 2005.
