Horseshoe Bay Beach Park - South West Rocks NSW

South West Rocks (pop. 4,000) is situated 467km north of Sydney on the mid north coast. The Horseshoe Bay Beach Park has spectacular views of the coast and ocean which makes it a popular destination for caravan owners, campers and tourists. The park is pet friendly. The park is situated right on the water front near the town. The view from some of the sites are just amazing. Some sites back onto the water and there is nothing blocking the view. Most sites have some view of the ocean because they are elevated. There is 2 amenities blocks. Not all sites are close to amenities. One amenity block also has several private use ensuites which are allocated to your very own site with key entry. All roads are sealed but are in need of repairs, there are many shallow pot holes but doesn't cause any problem. Some sites have concrete annex pads some have green matting. Some sites are a bit tight to back into and sites would not accommodate 5th wheelers large bus sized motorhomes. There is no pool or playground. But the beach is only a few steps away. The park is pretty busy so booking a site would be recommended. While in Southwest rocks a must visit is Trial Bay gaol at only $10 per adult with great views nearby and some walking tracks and also Smoky cape lighthouse offers rewarding views but the foot path up to it is very steep.
