The Grand Pines Tourist Park is located at 289 The Grand Pde, Sans Souci. The entry to the park for vehicles is via 112 Alfred Street. The park is quite snug so if you have a large rig you definitely need to check that you can manoeuvre within the park. Smaller motorhomes will not have a problem. There are 20 powered sites available for caravans, campers and motorhomes. A good selection of cottages and cabins is available for rent. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you found them on Caravan Park Photos.
Rotate the Google Street View image below to see the location of the park. You can see street view in full screen by clicking the icon in the top right hand corner. Satellite view will also enable you to see the park within the context of the town. The green arrow marks the exact location of the site.

In 1960 we stayed there for at least six months in a caravan because it was all we could afford. It was abreast place for my little girl with beach across the road. Then, in 1991, my husband and, who by then had gone home to NZ stayed there while preparing for a ride tPerth on a couple of old motor bikes. It is sad to see these icons of Australia disappearing. It was a haven for Pommy migrants inthe50s and 60s and for anyone trying to establish themselves.RIP.

We have stayed here many times in a cabin. The park is old and tired and there is little room for caravans. Fine for motor homes and camper vans. The cabins are very old but do the job and are clean. The amenities are in quite good condition. There is no BBqs, games room, kiosk or pool. The staff are friendly. The park is very well located opposite Ramsgate beach and walking distance to Coles and a great fish and chip shop. Catch the train into the city at Coggera station. When we were in Sydney in Sept 2013 noticed a sign up advertising a new development on the site. So don't know how long the park will be here until it is bulldozed. Sad to see another caravan park give way to developers. That is why no up grades have been done for many years we have stayed here I would imagine.
