Pentland Caravan Park - Pentland QLD
Pentland Caravan Park is approx half way between Charters Towers and Hughenden on the Flinders Hwy. The park is located on the eastern side of town in a side street. Some traffic and train noise at night but not to bad.
Staff at reception which is located in the shop at the front where meals and some groceries are available were friendly. Pay your money $22a night for 2 people peak season and go pick your own site. Sites are not really level but the slabs are, some slabs are in need of repair. There are some grass sites also. There is some trees for shade.
The amenties are at the back of the park but not to far from any site, they are clean and serviceable with plenty of hot water and good pressure. There is a camp kitchen close to the amenities. There is a well kept swimming pool , some cabins. And some motel units. T.V reception was not good but mobile phone and internet were good. The carrier used was Telstra. Very well maintained park halfway from Charters Towers to Hughenden.
Good value at $22 powered site and very clean amenities.
A cafe on site provides meals until last call at 6.30pm.
Lovely swimming pool and friendly staff.
Poor TV reception except satellite. Our IPhone and iPad reception perfect. Don't think you would be disappointed to pull in and stay a night or 2. Close to highway actually on highway but didn't bother us......Kangaroos abound early about midday so used to human beings.
