Location: the camping area is about 300 metres from the park entrance, beyond the second causeway.
Access: the camping area can be reached by conventional vehicles. It is accessible to trailers, caravans and buses.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and large groups.
Campsite surface: grass.
Facilities: water (treat all water before drinking), composting toilets, cold showers, picnic tables and gas barbecues.
Open fires: prohibited.
Generators: not allowed.
Essentials to bring: rubbish bags and insect repellent.
Bookings: book online, over-the-counter, or by phone. Advance bookings are advisable, especially during school holidays, when the campground is extremely popular.
Mobile phone coverage: poor, until you get back to the highway, 4.5 kilometres from the park.
