Located 262 km north of Adelaide on the edge of the Flinders Ranges, Orroroo is one of those towns which seems to have been designed so that people have to get fit to cross the main street. To see a photograph of the main street in 1878 is to be in awe of the way the main street was developed. There is a veritable football field between the buildings on one side of the road and the buildings on the other.

This caravan park is well located in the Southern Flinders Ranges of South Australia. It is an open park with some trees for shade and mostly gravel sites. Sites are capable of taking large vans. There are two shower/toilet blocks, one of which is modern, spacious and well maintained. I had no need to access the other building. Park is neat and tidy and is well managed. Reception friendly. Within walking distance of local shops and hotels. We enjoyed two nights and were offered the third night free if needed. Certainly suitable for longer stays to explore the local area.
