Pilliga No 2 Rest Area - Bohena Creek NSW

Pilliga No 2 Rest Area is located on the Newell Hwy at Bohena Creek which is 25km south of Narrabri.  The rest area is located on the eastern side of the highway and access is via the second (northern) entrance. This is a spacious and well designed rest area. It has amenities and an undercover picnic table. Pleasant views of the countryside make for a relaxing backdrop and there is some shade which will be essential in summer. The road surface is sealed and there is plenty of room for rigs of all shapes and sizes. Some traffic noise may be experienced due to the proximity of the Newell Highway. If you decide to stay here overnight then you do so at your own risk. Photos on this page were taken in April 2012.
