New Country Swamp Campground - Mummel Gulf National Park NSW
There's a picnic area and car-based camping at New Country Swamp. A short walk from the campground offers breathtaking views from the edge of Mummel Gulf. Mummel Forest Drive is an easy introduction to the forests of Mummel Gulf National Park and nearby state forests.
Access 12 km south of the Oxiey Highway, 50 km south-east of Walcha on the unsealed Enfield Road. The last 15 km of unsealed road is not recommended for caravans, and not recommended for 2WD vehicles in wet weather.

NPWS have release a POM of this park which will make the majority of trails management trails and hence closed. A real travesty by the NPWS as the heart of the park which access will be lost to is the jewel in the crown. Submissions to the plan of management close May 24th 2010.

Excellent Wild place.Top 4WDriving along Dicks hut Fire trail and River Rd.River Rd blocked by massive trees across track approx. 1k west of the crossing of the Mummel river,as at August 2009. This is a basic camping ground suitable for small groups. A short walk to the edge of Mummel Gulf offers breathtaking views. The campground is also a good spot for birdwatching and photography.
Getting there: This campground is approximately 12 km south of the Oxley Highway on Mummel Forest Road.
Facilities: picnic tables, wood barbecues, non-flush toilets Campsite is accessible by unsealed roads usually fine for 2wd vehicle in the dry, but may not be passable after rain
From the Oxley Highway, drive for 12km south along the Mummel Forest Road.
You can park a trailer, or a tent in this campground - but no caravans
There are a total of 10 campsites
Basic campground with large trees and bird watching. The campsite is on the edge of the spectacular Mummel Gulf.
