The Land of the Giants Caravan Park is set in forest by the Tyenna River and is located at the entrance to the National Park. There are 26 campsites and 14 serviced sites suitable for campers, caravans and campervans.
Facilities include a shared toilet and shower block, coin-operated laundry facilities, and a covered kitchen and barbecue area.
Close by is the Mt Field National Park Visitors Centre. Here, you will find information on walks, history, geology, plants and wildlife of the Park. The Visitors Centre also has a cafe and shop. Declared in 1916, Mt Field was Tasmania’s first National Park. You can enjoy a range of short and longer bushwalks in the Park, and snow skiing in winter. The well-known Russell Falls Track is an easy walk, also suitable for wheelchairs and the Tall Trees Walk features the Swamp Gum - the world’s tallest flowering plant.
