Jacobs Well Tourist Park - Jacobs Well QLD
Jacob's Well (population 650) is a small seaside village close to South Stradbroke Island. The
Jacobs Well Tourist Park has 110 sites of which 30 are powered. Facilities are good and the park is adjacent to the Bay with good water views. Sandflies are a problem during the summer months but disappear during winter and cooler months. The resident managers are Robyn and Tom Rigby. Bookings can be made by
telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.

The park is a very simple park. There are many trees through out the park. It sits opposite the boat ramp and marine rescue. There are 5 nice cabins to hire. The park only has one small amenities block and laundry, not close to most sites, it would not cope in busy times, but generally the park is not busy even at Christmas although the boat ramp is very busy then. To cope with Christmas they seem to hire porta loos situated near the other sites which are away from amenities. Interestingly there are no clothes lines! There is s very basic play ground in the middle of the park and no pool or games room. There is an under cover BBQ area with picnic tables. There are only a few concrete annex slabs, most sites are worn grass and dirt. The unpowered section had better grass. The roads are generally roughly sealed. The park is in walking distance to the boat ramp, safe swimming area and small picnic ground. The park could do with a bit of a face lift and wouldn't take much to get it up to a better standard.
