Gold Coast Canals - Gold Coast QLD

These photos clearly demonstrate that one of the best ways to see the Gold Coast is by boat on the large network of attractive canals. Along these canals can be found an abundance of birds and many colonies of bats not far from Broadbeach. As you travel the canals you pass beneath many bridges some of which are quite low. The canals lead to a large expanse of water called the Nerang River which eventually leads to Pacific Ocean. There is also an extensive network of canals north of the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast skyline looks stunning reflected in the waters of the canals. Photos on this page were taken on 3rd April, 2010.
