Gilgandra Caravan Park - Gilgandra NSW
Gilgandra is a town of 2,900 people situated at the junction of the Newell, Castlereagh and Oxley Highways. Gilgandra Caravan Park is a well maintained park in a lovely setting. The park has 47 sites of which 42 are powered. A number of cabins are available for rent including a few made of brick. Amenities are very good and all roads in the park are sealed. The park is pet friendly. The resident managers are Helen and Terry Rowles. Very clean, nice park. Staff Terry and Helen are very friendly. I stayed there for couple of months and enjoyed the place.

Stayed here 6 Feb, 2013 just to break up the drive from Brisbane to Bathurst. We were positioned well away from the cabins and long term vans. Our spot was a drive- thru and close to amenities bldg. This bldg was clean and sufficient. There was only one other van staying this mid-week night so no problems with numbers.
The camp kitchen was over by the cabins so we did not cook there, just washed up there.
There were dead branches hanging in the gum tree above the site so backed the car and van up out of harms way.
The night sky was a bonus - stars out brilliantly.
Cost of $26, 2 people, powered site quite reasonable.
Would stay again if needed to.
