Halfway Creek Rest Area - Halfway Creek NSW
The Halfway Creek Rest Area consists of two parts. The eastern side of the rest area includes the Shell Service Station and The Creek Restaurant and the western side is just a rest area. If you are planning an overnight stay then the eastern side is the best but signs clearly state that using certain parts of the rest area is entirely at your own risk. I strongly recommend if you are planning a sleep over that you speak to the staff in the service station and let them know of your intentions. The Creek Restaurant serves good food and also has an outdoor dining area. The Service Station is well equipped with drinks and food items.

Halfway Creek rest area no longer allows overnight camping. We had planned on staying last night but not allowed. Just letting other travellers know

It's situated right on the highway behind the service station but I was amazed that it was fairly quiet. Nice large grassy area, great for big rigs. A good stop over. Toilets and showers are available inside the service station.
