Croydon Caravan Park is on the Gulf Development Road about half way between Georgetown & Normanton there is a convenient place for a night stopover. The park is council owned with resident manages, Kim and Christa. They are very friendly and helpfull. The park is on a side street so traffic noise is nil. It is nicely maintained although one of the amenities blocks is on the old side. There are two amenities blocks with a laundry in each. The sites are level some with slabs and drive thru. There is a lovely pool. The town is easy walking distance with supermarket and hotel. There is a very good information centre where you can learn all about the considerable history of the area. Rates for a powered site were $27 per site with 2 people. A nice park for a couple of nights to give you time to explore the area. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park on 07 4745 6238 and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.
