I visited this area in August 2016 as I was passing near by. The camping area is very flat and is located just below the Yeldulknie Weir and is capable of accommodating about 10 or dozen or so rigs I reckon. The area is located about 1 kms by dirt road, from the main highway and it is well posted. Most people even with medium to large rigs will have no problems negotiating the road in, although it does slope downwards and across the spillway (dry), which has a tighter turn at the bottom as it heads back up the slope to the camping area on opposite side of the spillway. The amenities include BBQ (coin pay), rubbish bins, shelter, several tables and benches and a very tidy and clean toilet block with flush toilets and hand washing facilities etc. There is a visitors book to sign if you wish and a donation box towards the areas upkeep. The entire site, amenities and surrounds are very pleasant and well maintained and all in all, I reckon it is a great camping site with several walking tracks in and around the dam for the more adventuresome.
