O'Connor is a suburb of Canberra only a short distance from the city center. The Alivio Tourist Park (formerly Canberra Motor Village) is very spacious and has a good selection of accommodation options. The village caters for tour groups, including school students, that visit the National Capital. The drive-through sites for caravans are excellent as well as the amenities. The park has a good layout and Canberra's main tourist attractions are nearby. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.
I recently stayed at this park and thought it was great, it is close to the city but set in bushland, great choice of accommodation. Loved the possums!! Will definitely stay again. Wendy Griffiths, South Durrass NSW.

Not a cheap park, paid $71 a night for en-suite site in middle of winter. Only had the en-suite cos of it being so cold. All sites are drive through, park was deserted when we was here in August. Having said that the lark is lovely and quiet and a short drive to shops, war memorial and all the other wonderful things to do here. Botanic gardens, zoo, the mint all great places to visit. Staff were just lovely too. I will be back cos it’s a lovely park and best location

This is my choice of caravan park in Canberra because it is close to the city and other family in outer suburbs. While it is not the cheapest available, I have stayed there in 2015 and recently in 2017, it offers recently upgraded drive through caravan sites and upgraded surrounds and the best "camp" kitchen facilities I have ever seen. There are in fact two adjoining kitchens with all manner of good quality cooking appliances and great tables and chairs with a large screen TV in both kitchens. There is also a very large triple glass door fridge and immaculate bench tops. There is also boiling water and chilled water available from a central combined outlet between the two kitchens. We paid $48.00 per night but others were quoted and paid $54.00. The whole caravan parkis drive through and while we were there they were currently upgrading all the drive through sites that had individual ensuite buildings in place. Very nice staff and an excellent restaurant/bar area is available in reception building.

I have just returned from a week at Alivio Tourist Park, I could not fault this Park, we stayed in a 2 bed cabin, which was very clean. My only complaint was I should have booked 1 of the newer cabins, which may have given us more space as the bedroom had a queen bed which left little room for dressing a double would have been sufficient .The pool area and BBQ area were spotless, the pool was checked everyday we used it. The park was a short drive to anywhere we wanted to go. Would I stay there again DEFINATELY.

The park is situated next to a conservation park so is nice and quiet with lots of trees around the park. The park has all drive through sites for caravans. All roads are sealed. The sites have small narrow concrete annex slabs not really suitable for erecting your annex on. 3 amenities block however only 2 are close to sites. One amenities was closed we assume for maintenance. The other amenities was brand new and clean. The only dislike was the showers don't have shower curtains so the shower rose sprays into drying area onto the floor. The amenities have heaters which help during the bitter cold of winter. There are 4 ensuite sites. Lots of cabins to choose from. Dump point, pool and the laundry is situated next to check in office. Only a short drive to the city and its attractions.

I HAVE BEEN TO THIS PARK SEVERAL TIMES. IT IS WELL SERVED AS FAR AS INFRASTRUCTRE IS CONCERNED.
I FELT IT WAS FAIRLY EXPENSIVE WHEN COMPARED TO OTHER PARKS, HOWEVER IN CANBERRA THERE IS NOT MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM. THEY HAVE A CAPTIVE MARKET.

We've just had an overnight stopover during a trip from WA and have to say we were most impressed. The park was upgraded approx 12 months ago and has become 4 star accommodation. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. Pure luxury! The van sites are drive thru; always a bonus for us. We will definitely return with the van in tow. Highly recommended.
