BIG4 Ballina Central Holiday Park 2006 is situated on River Street with views of the Richmond River. The park does not have any permanents as it wholly caters for tourists. Facilities are immaculate especially the amenities block which would rate among the best I have seen anywhere. The park has good paved roads and your hosts are Brad and Erin Scofield. Powered sites for caravans are quite spacious and well maintained. There are 6 unpowered sites. Caravan owners are guided on to their site by one of the staff. While staying in Ballina take the time to visit the Maritime Museum. Its well worth the small fee of $5 per adult. There are some old wooden boats on display plus hundreds of beautiful model ships and oil paintings of ships through history. There are relics from the old shipping days plus hundreds of old photos of old ports throughout NSW and the bombing of Darwin plus so much more. Well presented and very interesting. There is a great little gift shop too to buy all things nautical. Ballina is a great place to visit with nice beaches, lovely view points to spot whales, a break wall and great shopping.
