Pilliga Rest Area - Baan Baa NSW

Pilliga Rest Area is located on the Newell Hwy at Baan Baa which is 51km south of Narrabri.  The rest area is on the eastern side of the highway. This is a spacious and well designed rest area. It has amenities and a picnic table. There are a few nooks for tents and camping. Pleasant views of the countryside make for a relaxing backdrop. The road surface is sealed and there is plenty of room for rigs of all shapes and sizes. Some traffic noise may be experienced due to the proximity of the Newell Highway. If you decide to stay here overnight then you do so at your own risk. Photos on this page were taken in April 2012.
