To Andy this was no way intended as a swipe of your management at Alexandra Bridge camp ground, you and your wife do a great job and we have had the pleasure of chatting to you on several occasions when you do your rounds. It appears I have got it wrong in regards to the terms of stay and will say this is still the best place to stay in the southwest.

As stated by "Roger Key" of Mandurah - there are NO grey nomads that stay over 4 weeks, you are suggesting that my wife and I mismanage the park!! Max stay is 28 days as per Shire regulations and we adhere strictly to these rules.
This has become a very popular place over the 25 years we have been caretaker/managers and if you can't get in on a weekend --" that's life"

This park use to be the southwests best kept secret. I have been going to Alexandra bridge for many years. I would like to see a time limit put on a persons stay as many grey nomads stay over 4 weeks which then person that just wants a weekend away cannot get in.

Only visited for day so far but friends stay regularly and i am planning holiday in October. Great place, toilets fine and sites well set out. Great place to relax and fish while the kids can explore, kayak/boat/swim or just go for bushwalks etc, dolphins been seen this far up river. Pleny of firewood when we visited. Told its quite busy on weekends with day visitors etc but quiet at night. Just rang and fees about to be $8 per adult and $5 per child per night.

There is no power at this facility. It is a short stay camp/caravan ground only. There is no resident manager and you cannot make bookings. It is first come first in. Operated by the Augusta/Margaret River Shire council, fees are collected by the caretaker in cash, daily.
