Lake Hume Tourist Park - Albury NSW

Pet Friendly

A magnificent tourist park in a breathtaking location. Lake Hume Tourist Park is set on high ground above Lake Hume providing beautiful water vistas. The park has a large range of cabins many of which have uninterrupted views of Lake Hume. The swimming pool is impressive and a water slide for children is available.
The park has a nice cafe and kiosk attached to the reception area. Peace and quiet abound and it is only a short drive to Albury or Wodonga. This is a park that I highly recommend. The resident owners are Kevin, Mathew and Suzanne Downie.
Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please them that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.

We didn't stay at this park but had a good look around and took lots of photos. The park is so peaceful right next to Lake Hume. 15 to 20 minutes drive from Albury. Only minutes walk from the dam wall. Hardly any traffic so no road noise to worry about. I would think in summer it would be busy with all the activities on the lake. The park has many private owned holiday cabins. Also cabins of various types to hire. A few permanents but they were in a line on one side of the park. The powered sites were mostly un level so you may need levelling blocks, most vans had them. All had power and water but no annex slabs. Most sites were not close to amenities block so on board bathroom would be an advantage. All the water view sites were positioned down hill from amenities. The amenities had a basic laundry and showers but they were old and need of some TLC. The camp kitchen/BBQ area was also very basic. There is no pool or playground. Would we stay here? You bet! No bells and whistles in this park but the serenity is to die for! If you can stand lots of fresh air, the sound of birds and few naughty rabbits running around the park, but I don't blame them! I wish I could live here too.

What a delightful park this is. The managers Terriand Danny were terrific to deal with nothing was to much trouble. We purchased our accomodation via Travel Auctions so it was an unknown quantity. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Amenities were well positioned and squeaky clean. Hot water was abundant in the showers. We will definately be returning.

This caravan park has been taken over by new owners and have put in a park manager, the park manager in my opinion is definitely not a person who should be dealing with customers his demeanour is aggressive and unprofessional. He would be more suited to running a detention centre.
Most people to this industry are customer focused and compromising with a can do attitude with all of the facilities terms and conditions of use explained on check in. We thought having spent the last 4 years enjoying our stay would have some strength in booking the same site next year to be told that you will have to book for the next 3 years to obtain this request ...? Not happy maybe time to move on as the attitude is now that's the way it is..?
