From 15Feb to 30Apr each year this area is used by professional salmon fisherman and campers are not encouraged and are requested not to interfere with the fishermen earning their livelihood. At peak holiday periods, the local Shire Ranger visits the site every 2 to 4 days and encourages campers to move on if they have been there for more than a couple of days; however, there is no signposting (as at Jan 2010) indicating a timeframe or maximum camping time (most people ignore the Ranger's polite encouragement to leave). Albany Shire council have provided bins for waste collection - both for general waste and recycling. Nice beach area for swimming and fishing (usually can catch a feed of whiting and/or Tommy Ruff). Rock fishing is also achievable - usual precautions needed. Can easily launch a small boat off the beach - vehicle tyre pressures are important as sand can be particularly soft in places. There are grassed area for camping and it's also possible to camp on the beach past the rocks the divide the beach and cove area.
