Wilmington Centenary Park - Wilmington SA

Pet Friendly

Throughout it's life, Wilmington has been a thriving community, in early times supplying its own butter factory, flour mill, police station, bakery, general store, 3 hotels, butcher, blacksmith, and bank.
Wilmington is renowned for its old stone buildings
The oldest building in Wilmington is the local hotel. Still in use as the Wilmington hotel it was originally named The Globe Hotel. With the old coaching stables at the back of the building, it was built around 1876.The Police station dates from 1880 and is located in the main street, it is still in use as a private residence.Today Wilmington is a sleepy little town with a population of only a couple of hundred people. It does have an excellent little museum with what looks like a Jindivik rocket outside. For the rest: it looks like it hasn't changed since the 1950s. It is truly a town which has stood still.

There are 2 caravan parks one is a caravan/bush camp a bit out of town but if you like to get back to nature and want a small private camp the bush camp is for you, not really for me. It does have toilets showers and power.
