Queens Park Garden - Toowoomba QLD

Curator Edward Way was a man of great vision and responsible for the planting of large ornamental trees some of which can be seen in these pictures. Although he had a maintenance budget for the park he purchased many of the trees and plants from his own personal finances. The building of a curator's cottage, kiosk and bandstand took place during the 1890's and a zoo was also established in 1900. None of these buildings can be seen today.
