Taroom Caravan Park is located at 1 Short St - E , Taroom. Taro om is 64km north west of Brisbane. It is situated on the banks of the Dawson River. The Dawson river has a weir situated at Taroom to allow the town to obtain long term water self sufficiency. The fishing there is reported at good. The park is in a nice quiet location. There are 40 powered and 40 unpowered sites available for caravans, campers and motorhomes. Stayed at the Caravan Park on 30 June 2013 at a cost of $15. On our return trip we again stayed at a cost of $25. What extra did we get for the additional $10 you ask - Nothing ! Showers whilst hot are very tired looking and water damage at floor level which did not make having a shower at all appealing. The lack of maintenance of the park shows. Whilst there a large number of fixed vans were being wired and plumbed in for temporary accommodation for workers due to commence a project in the area. Will we stay again - NO !
