Riverside Tourist Park - Rockhampton QLD
The Riverside Tourist Park is quite large with 105 powered sites. The park is located beside the Fitzroy River at 2 Reaney Street. The park has good amenities and is well laid out. The resident managers are Mark and Nicole Braney. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos. This park is part of the Family Parks of Australia (FPA) network.
The facilities were clean enough, in a nice setting, the brick, highset amenities building/games room upstairs was very interesting, it puzzled/puzzles me what it was once used for, I would like someone to let me know, if they know some of it's history. I am thinking it was associated to the river nearby somehow?. Paula Addison, Brisbane QLD.

Clean facilities, quiet park and pleasant surrounds. Small salt water pool - management complain that the pool is too noisy as it is beside the managers residence. Walking distance to Rockhampton and close to Stocklands mall. NOT PET FRIENDLY. Children were not really welcome, just the impression we got.

In the 2012 Family Parks book this park is dog friendly.
