Red Rock is situated approximately 13km north of Woolgoolga and 85km from Grafton. This quiet fishing village nestles in beautifully-unspoiled surroundings at the southern end of Yurangir National Park at the mouth of the Redbank River. You can reach the park by taking the Station Creek turnoff along the Barcoongere Forest Way. Red Rock is in a wonderful place for fishing enthusiasts and those who love surfing, snorkeling or just lazing in the sun on the beach. The Yurangir National Park embraces the longest stretch of undeveloped coastline of any park in Australia - a strip that boasts many beaches, lagoons, heathlands and swamps and is worth exploring. The creeks and rivers within the park are ideal for canoeing and there are plenty of fine bushwalking trails, including the recently completed 10km Angourie Coastal Walk. Bookings can be made at the Park by telephoning 6649-2730. |
