Nambucca Heads (pop. 6,250) is situated 314km north of Sydney. Located on the beautiful mid north coast this seaside town has many attractions including surfing, fishing (estuary, beach, ocean and rock), golf, bowls, indoor cricket plus many more. Powered sites for caravans, shady campsites and rustic cabins are available from the Headland Tourist Village. The park is pet friendly. The resident managers are Kay and Alan Browne. Love this park that’s why I returned. Stayed mid week so park was very quiet and had the pick of sites. Other park near break wall was very busy when I looked. Staff suggested I stay near amenities being a solo traveler for safely which I thought was very nice. The park is not well lit so I appreciated their kindness. Park is dog friendly which is great and still is good value for money. The park doesn’t have much facilities but if you want those you will have to pay more in the other parks. I will be back

I stayed here for the annual Rusty Irion Rally on Father's Day weekend. The Rally is only 20 minutes away at macksville. The park is a good price compaired to other parks in the area. The park is on several levels so can be a problem for mobility impaired people however if you want a powered site ask for one on the same level as amenities which I am sure the friendly staff will help you with. Pet friendly there is even a hydro bath next to amenities for dirty doggies! Amenities are old but everything works and is clean. No ensuite sites. Unpowered sites are a bit of a walk to amenities. Very basic camp kitchen and BBQ hut. No pool, no playground. Park has lots of nice trees and some sites have concrete slabs. Most roads are not sealed and was quite dusty. No view of the sea but it can be heard and is just below the park. Steep walk to beach on sealed path but there is a large carpark at the beach only 30 seconds by car. Shops not far away by car. Very peaceful park and would stay here again.
