"Mt. Suprise is a small quiet town abut 30k's west of the Undara Lava Tubes on the Gulf Development Road in North West Qld. The Bedrock Caravan Park was first started 19 years ago and the job the still owners have done is nothing short of remarkable. There is so much here it would be hard to keep this to a short discription. The staff at reception and in the park are superbly friendly and always go out of their way to help. The amenities are spotless and of a great size (showers) plenty of water pressure. The sites are all level but none have slabs. They are very private as there is trees & shrubs planted in between. You are shown to your site and helped on to it. The parks infrastructure is explained (the position of water taps, electrisity, amenities etc.). The swimming pool is lovely and inviting. Meals are served on some nights at a very reasonable price in their undercover dining area. There is also a Pastrycook/Baker on site in peak season to tempt your tastebuds and increase your waistline. The price per night for a powered site in peak season was a very reasonable $27 for 2 people. Tours are also available to Undara and other destinations including the Savannalander Train which stops at the caravan park on it's trip down to Forsayth. This park is a gem of a place to base yourself for a couple of days depending on what you want to do & see in the area. There is so much more to tell check out the photos & enjoy."
