Moree is a frontier town surrounded by Australia's largest cotton growing region. Most of the photos on this page are of the abandoned Moree Railway Station. In the late afternoon sun it looked fabulous and reminds us of an era of rail that has now passed. Passenger trains no longer use these tracks. As I walked along the lonely railway station I pondered all the farewells and departures that had taken place on this platform. If the walls could only talk what wonderful stories would be revealed. The Moree Hotel is a good example of a western NSW pub.
