MacAlister Gorge - Macalister Gorge Scenic Reserve VIC
The camping area can be accessed via Burgoyne Gap Track off the Heyfield - Licola Road. This is a difficult route and off limits to trailers, a river crossing is near the camping area so river heights would need to be assessed first.
Another access is via Burgoyne Gap Track off the Black Range Track end. It is possible, albeit difficult, to get a trailer in this way, there are 2 hairpin bends and a small creek crossing.
There is another track leading north north west from the area, it is steep and rocky and trailer access would be difficult.
There are 2 or 3 other sites in the area suitable for camping in the area and the river is quite pleasant to swim in.
