Wallaman Falls Campground - Lumholtz National Park QLD

How to get there
The falls are 48km (30 miles) west of Ingham, 35km (22 miles) of which is unsealed road. Travel 8km (5 miles) west of Ingham to Trebonne and turn left. Turn right over the Stone River and left again before beginning the climb up the coastal range. Normal travel time is about an hour each way. The road climbs steeply up the range and is slippery when wet. Caravans (RV's and trailers) are not recommended. Cassowaries are sometimes seen in the rainforest sections, so please drive carefully. For directions, road conditions and bookings, contact Ingham QPWS on (07) 4777- 2822. Campground features: pleasant, camping area set in open woodland adjacent to Stony Creek.
Location: from the entrance to the park, follow the dirt road straight ahead to the camping area.
Access: the camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle. It is not accessible for caravans. Although the camping area as a whole is accessible by car, it is necessary to park a short distance from each campsite. It is not possible to drive onto campsites.
Number of sites: two open areas without separately defined sites.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping, walk-in camping, camper trailers, motorhomes (small) and large groups.
Campsite surface: grass.
Facilities: composting toilets, cold shower, picnic tables, and gas barbecues.
Open fires: prohibited.
Generators: not permitted.
Essentials to bring: drinking water or a water treatment device, rubbish bags, insect repellent.
Bookings: book online, over-the-counter or by phone. Advance bookings are required for holiday periods.
Mobile phone coverage: not available. A public phone is available at the camping area.
