Leitchville Travellers Rest Area - Leitchville VIC

Leitchville Travellers Rest Area is located on the 5 King George Street at Leitchville Victoria. Leitchville is 273km north of Melbourne. Leitchville is to be commended for providing such excellent facilities for free camping.  The facilities are well maintained and the rest area is just a hop, step and jump from the village centre which contains a supermarket, bakery and other stores. The area is lit at night with solar powered lights. Camping areas are divided with hedges which gives some privacy. The area is surrounded with a small park and open countryside on the other side. Traffic is fairly light in this area. Photos on this page were taken in February 2016.
