The Leigh Creek Caravan Park is situated in Acacia Drive, Leigh Creek. Leigh Creek is 525km north of Adelaide and has a population of 550 people.
Less than 40km up the road you're on the dirt and its here where your adventure really begins and the outback truly is your oyster. The Simpson Desert? Arkaroola or up the famous Birdsville, Oodnadatta or Strzelecki Tracks, you decide!
Dont go rushing off too quickly though as the Leigh Creek Caravan Park makes an ideal base camp whilst visiting the many local attractions such as Wilpena Pound, Sliding Rock, Parachilna Gorge or Aroona Dam where hopefully you will catch a glimpse of the rare Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby.
The Leigh Creek Progress Association took over the running of the park on the 27th September 2002 so that the tourist dollars earned could be channeled back into the park. All bookings, yard work, general maintenance, administration and cleaning is done on a voluntary basis, so please be patient if you find something not quite to the standard you might expect.
Among the many facilities in the town the Olympic sized swimming pool is a great place to cool off during the hot summer months.
For the golfers amongst you why not try your luck on our outback links, its certainly not St. Andrews but the views and wildlife truly are breathtaking even if your putting isnt! So what are you waiting for? See you soon!
