Three Mile Dam is located on the north track off The Link Road in the Kosciuszko National Park. Three Mile Dam is 495km south west of Sydney travelling via Cooma and Kiandra. It is a beautiful area with a stunning lakes and magnificent scenery. The Dam was constructed as part of the epic Snowy Mountain Hydro-Electric Scheme. Lots of things to do here including hiking and cross-country skiing in the winter months. Pets are not allowed in the National Park. Weather can be unpredictable, particularly in the colder months. There are no powered sites so you need alternative means of heating. More information can be obtained here.
