Getting there: Travel to the campground via Kowmung River Fire Trail which is accessed from Kanangra Walls Rd or Banshea Rd. The route includes unpaved roads; 4WD vehicle essential. To avoid environmental damage, alternative routes and camping areas should be considered during periods of wet weather.
Facilities: non-flush toilets WALK IN ONLY : Campsite is only accessible by 4wd vehicle. 116 km W of Sydney. The campsite is along Kowmung River management trail which can be found along Kanangra Walls Rd or Banshea Rd. The campsite is beside Dingo Dell Creek and is found soon after crossing Tuglow Hole Creek. You will need to walk a short distance from your car to the campsite - no caravans or camper trailers. There are a total of 14 campsites. There are small swimming holes in the creek. Although part of this campsite is now closed for regeneration, you can still get a view of the waterfall in Morong Creek canyon if you walk south-east along the management trail. Campers are advised to camp in designated sites to avoid trespassing on private property.
