Fossickers Rest Tourist Park - Inverell NSW
The Fossickers Rest Caravan Park is situated on Lake Inverell Drive 3km east of the Inverell Post Office. The park is very well maintained and has good facilities. There are 61 sites, 4 ensuite and 57 powered. The owners are very friendly and take great pride in their park. I have stayed here on two occasions and always enjoyed it. Open fields are adjacent to the park and it is only a short walk to the Lake Inverell Reserve. The park is a member of the Family Parks of Australia Network. The resident owners are Paul and Tania. The two of us stayed in a cabin for five nights at $70 per night. Owners were friendly and helpful. It was reasonably clean and plenty of space for two inside with chairs on the verandah also. The lounge comprised a single and two-seater which was comfortable as were the dining chairs. However, the double bed mattress wasn't all that comfortable and the tv was only a small, old, 34cm type with set top box, but we weren't there just to watch tv. The fridge and cooking facilities were adequate for the price. Air conditioning was coin operated user pays, but the ceiling fans worked well. The many different species of wild birds were interesting. We purchased several bags of wash and did some fossicking on site, but didn't find anything of value. Would stay there again.
