Activities The park offers scope for long, hard hikes and backpack camping along the river. There are good views from lookouts on Misty Creek Road and Chaelundi Road, and you can have a picnic beside Ebor Falls, where the Guy Fawkes River plunges off the tablelands. There's car-based camping and access to easy walking tracks at Chaelundi rest area (with accessible campsite and toilets), as well as car-based camping at historic Dalmorton near the Boyd River - ideal for camper trailers and small caravans.
Access 60 km north-west of Dorrigo off the Armidale-Grafton road (includes unsealed roads). Take Sheep Station Creek Road (unsealed) at Dundurrabin or Marengo Road (mostly unsealed) from Hernani, on the Armidale-Grafton road. Access to Dalmorton from the Old Grafton-Glen Innes road (2WD unsealed). This camping area offers camping along the Boyd River and an opportunity to explore the ghost town of Dalmorton with on-site information provided.
Getting there: The campground is located on the old Grafton- Glen Innes road near the ghost town of Dalmorton, a once- thriving gold-mining centre in the 1880s. From Grafton follow the Gwydir Highway to Old Grafton Glen Innes Road intersection, follow Old Grafton Glen Innes Road for 67 km to Dalmorton, turn left at Dalmorton onto Chaelundi Road, crossing the Boyd River, campground 500 metres on right.
Facilities: picnic tables, wood barbecues (bring your own firewood), non-flush toilets The campsite is accessible by all weather unsealed roads suitable for 2wd vehicles
From Dalmorton, turn onto Chaelundi Road, cross the Boyd River and then you will find the campsite about 500m further along on your right.
You can park a trailer, or a tent in this campground - but no caravans
There are a total of 20 campsites
Enjoy the water and the history in the local town and area. Don't camp too close to the water as it is still in use as a travelling stock reserve.
