Tycannah Rest Area - Gurley NSW

Tycannah Rest Area is located on the Newell Hwy at Gurley which is 18km south of Moree. This is a spacious and well designed rest area. It has amenities and a picnic table. Pleasant views of the countryside make for a relaxing backdrop. The road surface is sealed but it is quite narrow so we would not recommend this as suitable for large motorhomes or fifth wheelers. There is a duplicate area on the opposite side of the highway. If you decide to stay here overnight then you do so at your own risk. Photos on this page were taken in April 2012.

Tycannah Rest Area - Gurley: The rest area is long and not very wide so if you decide to stay overnight you will need to make sure you are parked partially on the shoulder so you are not hit if another vehicle enters quickly.
