Great rest area, showers clean and water hot. Facilities clean. Whoever responsible for this free camp thank you. Just hope all users leave a donation to help out.

Have stayed here a few times, great campground. There is a donation requested for the hot showers, payable at the Tourist Info Centre.

We stayed here in July 2013. Situated between Emerald and Rockhampton about 40km east of the Blackwater coal fields. A delightful free Camping area is located near the highway at the eastern end of the town. There were 40 vans and campervans there the night we stayed. Plenty of flat and level spots with well located trees and a good spread of mown grass. Toilets and Free hot showers were also provided. This is one of the best free camping locations we have ever encountered. The Duaringa community deserve our thanks. Fantastic!
