Ourimperee Waterhole - Currawinya National Park QLD

Location: Ourimperee waterhole is behind the Currawinya Woolshed. The other sites are on the Paroo River near Caiwarro, at the park's northern end.
Access: The campsites can be reached by conventional vehicle. They are accessible for trailers, caravans, and small buses. It is possible to drive onto campsites.
Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; walk-in camping; caravans; camper trailers; small motor homes and large groups.
Campsite surface: Sand, dirt.
Facilities:
Ourimperee waterhole: Flushing toilets, drinking water
Caiwarro waterhole: No facilities
Pump Hole: Picnic tables, no facilities
Corni Paroo waterhole: Picnic tables, pit toilet at Caiwarro Ruins.
Open fires: Allowed (except when fire bans apply) but fuel stoves recommended.
Generators: Not permitted.
Essentials to bring: Bring at least seven litres of water per person, per day for drinking, cooking and washing. Local water is suitable for drinking. Bring rubbish bags, and take all recyclables and rubbish with you when you leave. Bins are not provided. Bring your own untreated, clean mill off-cuts for firewood, or preferably bring a fuel or gas stove for cooking.
Bookings: Obtain permits and pay camping fees at the park office (formerly the Currawinya homestead), 20 km north of the township of Hungerford, or at the self-registration stand near Caiwarro Ruins.
