Barrier Highway Emmdale Roadhouse - Cobar NSW
You can stay at the Emmdale Roadhouse overnight but I expect you will have to pay a fee. There are tent and caravan sites available with three powered sites for caravans. I understand the food and coffee here is excellent. Bookings can be made by telephoning the roadhouse. See the excellent photos below provided by Margaret Thomas.

Great place to stay in the between Wilcannia and Cobar. Fuel, hot showers, wonderful homemade food and the best coffee made with a special machine. Alcohol and ciggies too for those who partake. The backpackers are helping Virginia and Texas and have lovely accents. Have some powered sites and camping area as well. They had to mow when we were there cos the season has been so good. Airstrip across road. Thanks Emmdale, the reputation of an 'unfriendly' place is not warranted. Lee F.

Loved our stay here,,food great ..beer COLD...Staff sensational..locals had some great stories to tell
