St Lawrence Recreational Reserve - Clarke Creek QLD

Pet Friendly

There is a walking track to take you to the township where there is a pub, and couple of shops. Basic provisions only.(milk, bread etc) Good meals at the pub. Trains can be a bit noisy at night. A good camp for a couple of days rest There is a fee to use the showers.

What a great place. Good use of a recreational facility that the community only uses a few times a year and the locals are very friendly. (John and Val)

An excellent local initiative - toilets, coin showers, large area, local advice on fishing, crabbing, birdwatching, etc. Travellers invited to join in community and social activities including meals for travellers.

Very busy. We didn't stay here but called in to have a look. Large area, suitable for large rigs.

An excellent Freecamp suitable for several days if one wishes. We are advised it is a polo ground and only used occasionally. Toilets and coin showers, very clean and appeared to be relatively new, somewhat better than those of some of the caravan parks we stayed at. Were cleaned daily when we were there, and there were around twenty caravans and motor homes stayed there each night.
