Blew a gale for the 3 weeks we were there, the wind farm should have been a dead give away..the main camp area was nice, but there is a lot of noise from the big powered ski boats every weekend and sometimes during the week also...many campers use the place as a GARBAGE TIP, broken glass every where so keep your shoes on at all times, such a shame as it really spoils the place, we and another camper (local) tried to clean up all the rubbish and glass but was way past our efforts and energy levels.
MAIN AREA: nice for a short stay
OTHER AREA UP HILL: Is where the place is used and abused..(we tucked in beside the closed toilet block up the hill we found it to be the best place, plus the birds came in there which redeemed the place a little I have to say.)
WILL NOT BE BACK-left because of the mess and danger of being cut on glass.

What a great spot if you time right and there are little winds. The toilets and showers are showing there age but are maintained by the local council Monday to Friday. You wold have to be extremely fond of cold water if you wanted an shower. Stayed here in May 2012 just before winter really got serious. Had our travelling companion with us ,"Fidget" the golden retriever and he enjoyed his stay also.
