Canberra Carotel Caravan Park - Watson ACT

The suburb of Watson is situated 6km from the center of Canberra. The Canberra Carotel Caravan Park is set well back from the Federal Highway. Since I last visited this park has increased the number of permanents and decreased the number of sites available for tourists. The sites that are available are of very poor quality with token slabs and lots of dirt and dust, or worse still, mud when it is wet. The facilities are in need of an upgrade and are generally well below the standard that one would expect in a capital city. My recommendation is to give this one a miss unless you are on a very tight budget. On the positive side there is lots of open space available for campers.
