We have just been at the Pelican Holiday Park for 5 days. We went with two of our friends and we had a wonderful time. The other campers were friendly and Rex and Yvonne were great. We liked the peace and quiet.

Don't fall for the spin! Rude, arrogant, intrusive hosts with a litany of major failings in terms of accommodating people AND treating them respectfully. Park does not stack up to anything published about its facilities, which are best described as run-down, antiquated, threadbare, dusty dirty and neglected. Astoundingly, the guy owning this travesty is grumpy, disinterested, overbearing and questioning of arrivals. This is a repeating theme I have heard many times since I visited! Certainly not a friendly place to be. Nearby is Lake Bonney Discovery Park with top-notch facilities. Go for it.

After a three and a half hour drive, my partner and I finally arrived at the park to be greeted by a friendly black Kelpie dog. From afar was a white bearded middle aged man. As we drew closer we stopped the car and spoke to the middle aged man on the border of the park. We advised we were up for the day the man was very unwelcoming and rude and refused us entry. His wife in the background advised "Inappropriate behaviour" which we just wanted to spend a nice day over the Easter weekend in the sun. I do not recommend this place to anyone and no wonder why this place is up for sale. Definately don't waste your time on this place.
